Protecting Water Resources

We prioritize protecting the water supply at every step in crafting our wines, because we believe access to safe drinking water is a fundamental human right, and climate change increasingly threatens water quality and supply.

Sustainable Management

In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal for Clean Water and Sanitation, we sustainably manage our water use and advocate among California legislators for enhanced water policies that benefit all Californians.

At the Vineyard

Back at the vineyard, regenerative organic farming not only reduces pollution runoff, USDA research shows that organic farming helps build healthy soil, which in turn stores water more efficiently, conserving this precious resource. Our vineyards are Fish Friendly Farming-certified, meaning we intentionally manage them to restore fish and wildlife habitat and improve water quality. We also conserve water in our winery by naturally treating our wastewater and reusing it for irrigation, and continually reducing our water use with the likes of smart water meters and common-sense everyday efficiencies.
